Sophie Brock - Shades Of Fashion

I produced ‘Shades of Fashion’ to represent the many opinions there are about the fashion industry, just as there are endless ‘shades’ of colours and fabrics we wear. Originally, my ideas were quite different to the final result, but I still wanted my images to link to my research on the impact fashion has on society and mental health. To represent this in my images, the model is enveloped by darkness to represent the detrimental effects of fashion on society, and the ‘glow’ on the model, and the brighter background represents the uplifting and creative impact of fashion.

Katie Lawlor - Through Our Eyes

For my final project, I took a series of photographs of my sister focusing on light and warm colour tones of outdoors to spark and capture the joy of spending hot summer days during lockdown. I aimed to show and document precious memories and fragments of such a strange time. Inspiration – Film Photographer of William Eggleston with his warm colour palette and David Bailey iconic portraits of capturing personalities & beauty.

Aimee Capper - Hidden

Capturing hidden, natural elements and close up subjects allows me to discover small treasures around me. I like to capture precise and sharp images, bringing them into the foreground with the finer details of colour, lines, shapes and texture. I often refer to the work of  Photographer, Jim Zuckerman who uses the landscape and the outdoors to create stunning pieces. He captures the smallest of details and fills the frame of his images. His images are also sharp in focus that isolate into the limited depth of field and hazy backgrounds.

Liberty Fowler - Raw Emotions

“At the root of this dilemma is the way we view mental health in society. Whether an illness affects your heart, your legs or your brain, it's still an illness and there should be no judgement.”

Exploring and capturing meaningful messages through the natural elements of the human kind. I wanted to express the raw emotion and create a non-verbal message to create awareness for those that struggle to express their own feelings.

Henry Williams - What Better Time To Embrace Yourself

Past projects I've always studied portraiture in some way, my main inspiration being ‘Leanne Surfleet’. So, my chosen genre being self-portraits, is a topic I have been really wanting to do but too nervous to step out of my comfort zone and recognise that I could be the subject of my own art. I feel people lose the sense of seeking the beauty in themselves, me included, so I thought the only way to overcome any of that is to embrace it and put yourself out there.

Henry Williams - Spode Shoot

Eliza Thomas - Billionaire Boy

My project was easy by focusing on my friends and people close to me which makes me happy. I love styling and fashion, so I shoot to my taste and appeal. I am inspired by many numerous Fashion Photographers and brands but my favourite is those that relate to urban life and reality in terms of affordability but quality.

Hollie Jay-Lees   -  Making The Most Of Quarantine

A true Photographer makes the best out of anything, even being stuck at home. A project that was supposed to be adventurous; venturing out to many locations suddenly turned into a project that was to be done remotely from home.  After searching and exploring for inspiration on Instagram and Pinterest, I had a powerful idea to create from home. Using my previous skills on producing advertisement magazines and studying location photography, I took advantage of the beaming Spring weather and conducted an at-home Fashion shoot with my sister in our backyard.

Jakob Moore - Escape

I like to escape but not far away from where I live. People fail to realise how much lush woodland and nature there is in Kidsgrove, Staffordshire. This was my focus during the lockdown. I aim to show the intimate and peaceful hideouts I discovered. Inspired by Photographers - Marco Grassi, who is known for his breath-taking scenery shots and Guy Talbut, who tells his story as he travels across the world.

Lottie Elliot - Skateboard Fashion
My theme, skateboarding with fashion which both equally appeal to me. I started getting more and more interested in skateboarding a few years ago and I realised that fashion for this type of sport generally goes unnoticed. I first got inspired by Ryan Maddox and Arto Saari because of how creative and visually appealing their work is and how skateboarding has helped them become a better and more interesting Photographer. Maddox uses the popular fish-eye lens and the close-up technique which I personally think is pretty cool. Saari focuses on different subjects as well as skateboarding and uses a black and white effect which has given me ideas on how I could make my photos look interesting.

Kane Phillips - New World

I am fascinated by the growth of nature reclaiming, taking over man-made structures and cities. During lockdown, I have noticed the environmental changes, especially the air quality and reduction in pollution along with wildlife appearing within the streets and towns. Main influences for my work include contemporary Spanish Artist/Photographer, Lizuain discovered on Instagram with his mesmerising joiners of natural elements and architecture, also award-winning Photographer Mandy Barker, with her striking, surreal images aimed to raise awareness of global environmental issues.

Rebecca Rushton - Beauty Beneath

I decided to focus my theme around nature and its hidden beauty. This is because I think nature and architecture are undervalued and ignored. I wanted to showcase buildings that conceal a hidden beauty and areas of nature that may be seen as plain or boring. My inspiration is derived from Eliot Porter and Jack Boucher. Porter showcases how to make simplistic areas in nature interesting and Boucher focuses on showcasing plain buildings in an eye-catching way. Some techniques I used were; Shallow depth of field, high saturation, black & white and I think they captured my theme perfectly.

Tommy Li - Journey Out Of Lockdown

Pre-lockdown I complete my Duke of Edinburgh Gold certificate and captured this image at Dinorwic Quarry in North Wales. This was my life before, free to scramble across the wilderness and shoot breath-taking scenes. I hope to travel during my gap year, before going into the Royal Air Force to train as a Photographer.
I feel inspired by many Travel/Landscape Photographers, but my favourite is the great Ansel Adams.

Olivia Jackson - Sense Of Light

During lockdown, my aim was to express myself creatively through the movement of light within the darkness. Usual things failed to attract, so I wanted to show a sense of pause and thought, using light rays, spinning around portraits. The final images I have created I hope attract in terms of excitement and abstraction. Toby Harvard was the main influential Photographer & Screen Writer with his atmospheric and dreamy style work.
